I spent yesterday drawing again even though I should be doing my card for the showcase on Wednesday, well there`s always tomorrow :O). This was supposed to be full length but realised to late I had started to far down on my pad andI did not want to start all over again. I think I need to practice my faces a bit more so not sure whether to put this up as a digi. I am sure you will all be honest with me and thats how I like it :O).

I agree with Kate M. that the eyes that strike me as being not quite right, and it's just a little something tiny not quite right that's difficult to put a finger on. I scrolled her up until her face went off the top of the screen and the rest of her looked perfect, with detail just where needed and the flowers are fantstic in the bouquet, and the detail of the sleeve is perfect. I think you are very tallented and wish I was half as good at you at drawing. I think the eyes look as if they've got white pupils and black irises on my screen - mind you looking at a small image it could be down to the contrast on my screen. I take it that, as you are saying you need to practice faces, you haven't drawn a lot since being back drawing.
ReplyDeleteHi Chris, I am so glad to be able to get onto your blog today, as Mr Blogger wasn't playing nicely last week. Hand-drawn items are always impressive, and this one has a lovely dress and bouquet.
ReplyDeleteFaces always take a lot of practice, getting the proportions and features right, so I suppose you want to feel 100% happy, and I expect even Elizabeth Bell isn't always pleased with everything she draws! xx Jill B
KATE, GWYNETH AND JILL THIS IS JUST WHAT I WANT TO HEAR. WILL DO A BIT MORE PRACTISING UNTIL I HAVE GOT IT RIGHT THIS WILL NOT BE APPEARING AS A DIGI FOR THE TIME BEING.THANK YOU XXXX
ReplyDeleteBoy I wish I could draw. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteLovely drawing! Not many people draw their own things anymore.
ReplyDeleteI often wonder about doing my own digi stamps.... Watch this space lol

Well to start with i couldn't draw to save my life.... Before i read the other comments, I thought the eyes where a bit to close together (I hope you don't mind me saying so)... I was in a chat this morning with SuzeeJo, About her blog & i said i always give honest opinions..... (Maybe you could do a tutorial on drawing) I would love to learn x
ReplyDeletehi Chris
ReplyDeleteI love the drawing what a great idea and could be used for so many card ideas...
To me your drawing looks slightly off centre (I will try and explain this better) it seems like she is turning her shoulders slightly to the left - if you adjusted her position slightly she would be great xxx
I cannot draw at all so what you are achieving is brilliant!

Hi Chris, I think she's lovely, but her facial features are a little heavy for the rest of the drawing. I hope that makes sense. Sam xXx
ReplyDeleteLovely drawing, I'm another who can't draw to save myself, maybe she has on a wee bit to much mascara. Without my glasses on I could only see 2 black shapes, with them on the eyes do look a bit heavy, everything else looks fine to me

Hi Chrissie, I am no good at drawing myself but I do feel that the face could be lighter and a bit smaller. keep up the good work, you are doing well with your drawings :o)
