Pilkington Lane

Good Morning everybody, hope its not too cold where you are, blue skies and sun shining at present here. I made this card last week after watching Ali from Stamps Away on C & C  and saw a card she made so decided to get my stamps out and this is my interpretation.

Recipe

Pilkington Lane Stamps
Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Mica Powder Gold
Memento Black Ink
Promarkers
Versamark

I stamped the image twice with memento onto tan card then tore round the edges of the large image and distressed the edges with Walnut Stain then used versamark on edges to apply the Mica powder. I then cut the 2nd image to be placed at a point that I choose layered this onto brown card and just coloured small pieces to make it stand out (sorry cannot remember the colours I used). Then layered everything onto the main card and added card candy.

Just had a call from Mick,     the hospital has been in touch and his appointment is for
 14th February at 9.00am so we shall be spending Valentines day at the hospital  they
have also told him to expect to be there for 4-5 hours depending on what they are going to do

Thank you....

Hi everybody before I get onto the card I would like to update you and to get it off my chest so to speak. Some of you may know by my previous posts that hubby Mick has not been well and he went back to the doctors today for his  blood tests and for an examination. We are in total shock at the moment as the doctor is referring him to the urology cancer specialist, he is being so strong, me too in some ways but now he has gone off to London until friday so I just had to have a good cry to get it out of my system (well try too). So until the appt comes through we are both scared even if he is not showing it but I  know he is. Sorry for the waffle just needed to say something.
Well now onto the card, Mick asked me to make a card for the hotel owners where he stays as this is the last week there as he has now got a new contract where we live, it has just come at the right time. I choose the image as it is very close to the dog they have I hope you like it.

Rose...

Thank you ladies for all your good wishes for hubby (Mick) we do appreciate them, he is still not very well and hopefully will be seeing the doctor on Monday for the results of his blood test. It is worrying as they would not tell him anything over the phone just that he has to see the doctor for an examination!!!!! fingers crossed its nothing to serious. Well onto my card now....This is one of  my favourite photo`s which I took about 2 years ago and love using it.

I drew the template onto the A4 Centura card and cut out folded in half to make the card, then added the candy and gems. I played with my photo in Pspx2 to create a frame and the swirls, then took it into MCS to cut a scalloped edged circle and place a backing colour behind, printed this out and attached to the card.

One Card......

3 challenges :O). before I get onto the card I need to vent my feelings at the moment hope you don`t mind... Hubby has been ill with a kidney infection and had to go for a blood test on Monday 3 lots they took :O( when he phoned me at lunch time he had a voicemail from the doctor saying they need to see him as the results have come back and he needs to have an examination so  of course we are both worried now, trouble is he works in London so is unable to see the doctor until next monday as he cannot afford to come home as he is self employed ( don`t work don`t get paid ) plus where he works they are being awkward as they are so short of staff. So glad he is leaving there next week for a new job here at home. Sorry for the waffling just needed to say something....... Now back to the card not sure whether I am that keen on it but heyho but I am sure you will tell me nicely of course lol, Decide to make this for 2 challenges that are taking place at the moment, the first one is Zodiac over at CD Sunday and the other one is for distressed on Crafty Bloggers Network and one for the boys on The Crafty pad

 1 added tile effect of lion to top and bottom of backing paper
2. placed lion image on top of colour nestie                          
3. printed them off and tore round the edges of backing paper
and cut nestie by hand
4. Inked the edges and attached to card

My Neighbour asked if I could make her a simple thank you card for her friend. This is what I have come up with and I think it is also ideal for a challenge.

The flourishes are from a free download on the above a few months ago,  added the sentiment and printed
I choose a block colour in MCS and matched it against the text printed this out then used a plastic template drew round both the image and block colour and cut out
( don`t have any of these fancy machines or die cuts...yet!!!)
I then inked the edges of the card with Oasis Green Ink

Formula 1......

Oh it is so good to be back on line, I have missed so much with having internet problems over the last few days seems like months to me lol. Now I shall hopefully try and catch up with your blogs and mine of course :O). It was truly like losing a limb :O(. I hope you will all forgive me for not leaving comments and will do my best over the next few days.

This card is for my wonderful grandson Ryan who loves car racing besides football, have made him so many of these that I had to do a different card otherwise he might think I can only do footie cards lol.

I used  A4 Centura card and printed the background onto this.
 The main image was resized and the tyre tracks were added at the top and bottom
 I added a black surround behind the image, the ticket was added as well,
 I then printed another ticket and car so I could decoupage. The sentiment was also made in MCS.
 The inspiration for this came from a card that I saw in the Papercrafts Essentials magazine
 and decided to have a go.Folded the card so it was landscape,
 measured in 1 1/4 inches on each side and the bottom and cut the centre out sorry don`t do cm`s lol.
Cut a bar to go across so I could attach the image yes I could have used acetate but could not find it DOH.
attached the sentiment on the bottom and placed candy down each side.
I shall put the verse onto the reverse side of the image

Sea Life

Hi everybody :O) The router has arrived but hubby is away until the weekend so I am still relying on my phone for a connection so this will be a quick one over on CD Sunday they are doing a challenge on Sea Life. I have made 2 cards so will include on these in the one post. I have used the same image for both.

I played about with 2 circle templates and came up with this I then printed the backing paper and stuck to the card, next I resized the images and made a block colour to go behind the centre image is stuck on flat and the 2 outer ones are on with foam pads.

 The card below was done with several resized main image to make it look like the bubbles coming from the main image.

Rainbow....

I am having real fun at the moment as my internet connection is not working properly we have had to order a new router so for the time being hubby has shown me how to connect my phone to the computer, trouble is I only have a limited time and usage so have got to use sparingly.. This card is for a challenge and as the title says Rainbow....

Men!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have not been able to make any cards over the christmas period as hubby decided to change the craft/office around arghhhhhh he just piled all my stuff in one big heap so I could not find anything :O( . I think this was done on purpose just so that I help him to get rid of all the rubbish (his) lol, crafters don`t have rubbish ;O). Must say it gave me a chance to organise too so I cannot totally blame him for all the mess he made.Well he finally went back to work Tuesday and I was able to get back to crafting. I have come up with this card looking through the challenge blogs.
