Less is More 17....

The recipe this week from the Diva`s Chrissie & Mandie at .......
Less isMore  ..... was pick a square. This is a choice of 5 squares. For this one I have chosen centre. There is a great possibility of more to come :O)

I used a 5 x5 square card.
The rose is my own photo, which I took into Paint Shop Pro and added the frame and the sentiment now realised this could have been bigger. I then matted this onto a small piece of black paper from my stash.

Thank you for taking the time to come and have a peek and your comments are always appreciated.

Just had to share with you....

I was sitting having a lovely cuppa after our tea last evening when I happened to glance out of the window, so I had to run through to my craft room grab my camera and get outside before it disappeared.

When I first looked it was a double rainbow unfortunately by the time I got outside one rainbow had gone.
The camera really does not pick up the brightness of the rainbow.

Butterfly...

I have pondered over this since the challenge which started last Saturday on Less is More and was about to give up on this week`s challenge due to not having many butterfly stamps or images and having used the ones that I do have many times before. Yesterday I went into my cross stitch box and found an image for... yes you have guessed it... a Butterfly, so out came my needle and thread and away I went and here is what I have come up with.

I have added nothing but a peeloff just to frame the image, not sure if anything else is needed, but I am sure all you wonderful crafters out there will soon tell me.

Less is More 15 One Layer-Embossing

Well here we are again for another  LIM challenge. This time it is for one layer and embossing, I have spent the last 1 hour going through my stamps and could not make up my mind which one to use as I do have my favourites but I am sure you do not want to keep seeing them time after time. For this one I just did some dry embossing at the top and bottom.

Recipe for this:
Cuttlebug border swiss dots
See-D`s Sentiment
Kanban Autumn Silhouettes
Archival Ink Jet Black

White on White LIM

Since I saw this challenge on Less is More  Sunday. I have been racking my brain and thought oh my goodness shall I do this or not, and so here we are on Wednesday and  I`ve finally came up with this card. Must admit I am not sure whether I like it, could be too much not Less lol.

I was lucky to find some embossed cardstock in my stash, and I used a 2nd crd to cut out some of the embossed areas so I could decoupage. I then glittered with Art Glitter
The butterflies are by Kanban and I stamped and embossed with Debbie Moore clear embossing powder
The gems are from Hero Arts. Flowers are from my stash too
I will try my best to catch up with all your cards before the week is out

Malcolms Birthday..

While I was talking with my neighbours Susan and Malcolm, she told me that it was his 65th birthday, so I quietly asked if she had any pictures of him so I could make him a card. This was also a sad time as he had just been diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully his treatment is going well
The backing paper came from a CD and I added the text and printed straight onto the card.
I then add the pictures and did a 65 onto a card spring.
