For Mum...

Oh my I have blogged 2 days running, that`s a first for me for a long while.  Seeing as it is Mother`s Day this coming Sunday, what better way than to create a digi called..... For Mum.

This was quite hard for me as I lost my mum many years ago and I miss her every day. Love you Mum. xxxx

Great Grandma to Shoes..........

You could be thinking what is all this about with a title like that lol.

Well let me explain, a few weeks ago my beautiful granddaughter Ashley told me  I am to be a great grandma in June, so of course I had to search for my knitting needles and get knitting and yes the card making was put to one side. I had forgotten how much I had enjoyed knitting. 2 cardigans and 1 pair of bootees in five days with the 2nd pair in progress.

 

Now we come to the shoes.

 I was sent two beautiful images by the lovely Sheenagh Hulin to make a card and hopefully be accepted for the design team at Jem`s Designs, unfortunately I was not well at the time and with other commitments I was unable to take part.

Jem`s Designs now have a facebook page and you can find it HERE.

 

They are a fabulous bunch of girls who make fabulous cards. Obviously I wanted to make a card and Sheenagh very kindly gave me permission to use the images and I have entered it for a competition on the facebook page.

 

Jem`s Designs have some fabulous Cd`s and I just love the last 2 they have just bought out.. A Swan`s Song and Wish upon a Rose which sold out when aired on C & C last week, so glad I got my order in. To see all the Cd`s click HERE.

Neenah Card, Silver and black card from stash

I printed the image 3 times so I could decoupage the frame with shoe and leaves

(leaves were fiddly to cut round) then the shoe again on its own and also the flowers in the top corner which I glittered with Pee Wee.

I added a couple of flourishes kindly given to me by Lindsay Craftymonster thank you. Pearl gems added  and for the final touch a metal flower with rose on top.

Easter Bunny and Friend.......

Good morning and welcome to my new followers. I don`t know about you but it is very cold here, so stay warm.

 Before I get onto the showcase this week I must announce the winner  chosen by hubby of my crafty mistake on my Valentine card and it is.......................

For this I have used...

8x8 white card, peach pearlised card then backing paper from MCS, edges inked with tumbled glass distress ink. The main image is mine  and this was placed onto background image from Papercraft Library Bunny snuffles MCS, which I added the butterflies, bee and dragonfly. I then used Spellbinders Decorative labels 22 to cut image and also peach backing card. Bunny and friend are coloured with Promarkers, also used were Spellbinders Les Papillions 2 butterfly, Spellbinders Framed Tags One,  Cheery Lynn Flourish. Gems /buttons from stash, Prima Flowers Twine and Pins.

Hearts Tied Together.....

Good morning everybody, I hope you are all keeping well. Sending hugs to all that may need one. My image for the Showcase this week just had to be for Valentines or could even be used for a wedding / Anniversary card. Before we get onto the girls cards and they are Fabulous.

 

I have a little give away for you........

Just after I had taken the photo of my card I realised I had made a small crafty mistake yes I admit to it ooops... Luckily I was able to rectify.

 

If you can spot the crafty mistake and tell me in your comment what the mistake is I will enter you all into a draw and one lucky person will have the choice of 2 of my digi`s.

 I will then get my OH to pick a winner on 20th February.

Special Day....

Hello and welcome to my new followers, I hope you will enjoy your visits.

 

I cannot believe I have managed to make 2 cards in one week, thats a first for me in ages lol. It was my Grandson Ryans 16th birthday on Thursday.  At first I could not  decide what to do as I had done all the football and racing car cards, in the endI decided  to do a more personal card just as I did for my Granddaughters birthdays last year, so I spent a delightful afternoon on Monday going through all my photo`s of him along with a lot of memories which I will admit to a few tears as well as I just cannot believe that time has gone so quick...... so without further ado.....

 

 

The photo`s were imported to MCS where I choose the backing paper, the frames and then the photo`s.

 I then added the football cup, the racing helmet as these are the things he loves. The words under the photo`s were decoupaged to give it a bit of a lift. Added the tag sentiment and attached using a brad which I got from the lovely Lindsay.

Mushroom Living.....

I hope you have all been keeping safe and warm with all this horrible snow,  I do not like the cold or the snow.

As you may have all quessed there has been a few weeks since I had a Showcase, partly due to christmas and my mojo for drawing went on a walkabout lol.

Anniversary Wishes........

Before I show you my last card for 2012. I would just like to THANK YOU ALL for a fabulous year, you have all kept me going with all your visits and wonderful comments.

I know I have not been the perfect follower so I apologise now.
 

A very special mention must go to Lindsay (Craftymonster81) for all the help this wonderful lady has given me, if it was not for Lindsay I would never have got back into drawing again and setting them up as Digi`s. THANK YOU hun.

My last card for this year was made for my wonderful hubby for our 2nd wedding anniversary 19/12.

 

I made this using My Craft Studio. The frame was already set out I just added the swirls (from original wedding card) see below. then the sentiment in the scalloped nesty shape, decoupaged the word Love, added a button to centre of flower to make it more manly lol.

Below is the insert which I also did in MCS by using one of our photo`s.

Yes that is snow on the ground.
