Altered Pot.....

Good evening everyone, hope you are all keeping well.

Now you are probably wondering why have I put a Bisto granule container on here !!!!

Well I will tell you, last week when I had emptied the container and I was about to throw it away a thought came into my mind it would make a great pot for either pens/pencils or makeup brushes. So I stepped out of my comfort zone and gave it a go, talk about brain going into overdrive, it would not stop lol.
It took me ages to find some papers to use and then decide on what and how I was going to place the flowers and bits and bobs. In the end I gavethe pot to my Avon lady Sonia as she has been ill and upset over her wedding plans ( re - family) don`t you just love them.
So here you go....... this is what I came up with.......

I painted the inside and the rim with Copper metallic paint from Crawford & Black.
The papers came from MCS and with the back paper I used the tip from Ali Reeve using string round an acrylic block and inked with memento to look like writing.
The basket weave paper I distressed round the top edge with a craft knife then used Color Box ink, then folded back the top edges.
I used red adhesive tape at the top and attached Pearl string from Creative Expressions. Ribbon and lace is from my stash.
I die cut some leaves and fern and the flowers came from Cuddly Buddly and from stash. Before I stuck the flowers on with Pinflair silicone, I placed them where I wanted to make sure they looked right.

Dragon in awe.....

Hello and good evening to you all, I hope you are keeping warm and safe in this cold weather. Luckily we have had very little snow ( thank goodness) but lots of rain.

I have actually managed to make a few cards since my last blog, and I will only show them one at a time as I don`t want you all to get bored LOL.

The card I am going to show you was for Seemacrafts Challenge blog, but unfortunately Seema has had to close the blog down  due to family commitments and ill health. I would like to wish her all the very best and I have enjoyed my time as DT member using her wonderful digi`s, Thank you Seema. I`m going to miss doing them.

I called this "Dragon in Awe" as it looks like he has seen the rainbow for the first time
1. 6x6 white scalloped white card.
2. backing paper from MCS
3. Seema`s dragon digi
4. My mushroom houses digi
5. Promarkers
6. Flowersoft
I overlaid the mushroom houses onto the backing paper and coloured with promarkers, the dragon was also coloured with Promarkers and cut out then added to backing paper with foam pads, then just added a bit of flowersoft.

Special Day....

Hello and welcome to my new followers, I hope you will enjoy your visits.

I cannot believe I have managed to make 2 cards in one week, thats a first for me in ages lol. It was my Grandson Ryans 16th birthday on Thursday.  At first I could not  decide what to do as I had done all the football and racing car cards, in the endI decided  to do a more personal card just as I did for my Granddaughters birthdays last year, so I spent a delightful afternoon on Monday going through all my photo`s of him along with a lot of memories which I will admit to a few tears as well as I just cannot believe that time has gone so quick...... so without further ado.....

The photo`s were imported to MCS where I choose the backing paper, the frames and then the photo`s.
I then added the football cup, the racing helmet as these are the things he loves. The words under the photo`s were decoupaged to give it a bit of a lift. Added the tag sentiment and attached using a brad which I got from the lovely Lindsay.

Thank you.......

Good morning, and welcome to my new followers and thank you.

I cannot believe that just about 6 months ago I only had about 90 followers and thanks to you all I now have 257 woo hoo, I am a happy bunny.

I had quite an exciting weekend as we have just booked a week`s holiday in Menorca for the end of Sept, just 17 days to go then we will be relaxing by the pool yeahhh.

When we bought our new car just over a week ago I made this quick card as a Thank you to Trevor (NMG) who was so helpful, and he loved it.

The image is from MCS which I added the Sold sentiment before printing out then decoupaged it. The background was also made in MCS, then I just added the Thank you sentiment and card candi.

Thank you card...Less is More 13

Good Evening Limettes. I made this card as a thank you for all the friends and family who came to our wedding in Dec 2010. I am hoping this will be ok for the Less is More challenge which is a Lucky  dip for either Thank you or Congratulations.
The swirl, sentiment came from My Craft Studio CD.
The photograph is from our wedding and I incorporated it into the programme.
I then printed it straight onto the cardstock, after many attempts to get it to print correctly
Chrissie and Mandi I hope this is acceptable to your challenge.
Thank you for taking time and looking at my blog challenge card.
