Carnival.......

Hi folks, have you missed me............. Sorry I have not been about as my mojo completely disappeared after having a few days away in September so I thought the best thing to do was walk away for a while and get on with other things, which  also meant not visiting all your fabulous blogs ( sorry for that).

Last month Sheenagh Hulin from Jems Designs contacted me and asked if i would like to be guest designer for her brand new cd... "Enigma ". Well I jumped at the chance as I always enjoy working with their cd`s (which I have many now), and it was one way of getting my mojo back as they are so easy to use.

Jem`s Designs will be on Create & Craft Tuesday 19th November at 3.00pm with this fabulous cd, if you would like to see more fabulous creations made by the design team before the show is aired and would like to join a great bunch of girls pop on over and join their facebook page here.

Well I have to say my mojo has come back with a vengeance and christmas cards have been coming out left, right and centre lol. So my blog will be updated a bit more often from now and I will be taking more time to visit you all. I think that is enough waffle from me as hopefully you are here to see one of my samples, others will be following soon.

For this I have used an 8x8 white card, gold mirror card, image from Jems Designs "Enigma" folder Carnival which I printed 3 times and decoupaged the headdress and gold embossed the edges then added gems.

That Special Time of the Year...

Good  evening everyone, I hope you are all well and keeping busy.
What on earth has happened to the weather this week, its been a funny kind of day here, it started with the sun shining and the wind blowing which took the warmth away, then it went cloudy and even cooler then this afternoon it started to rain for a while. I have a feeling that summer has passed.

I have been busy making christmas cards as I have quite a few to do and I like to get them out of the way, luckily I have a few from last year which is a help.
last week I ordered the new Tonic Holly Rings Dies and the Frond Dies and I must say they are fabulous, so here is my first make.
I used an 8 x 8 white card, layered with pearlised copper card, white card embossed with an embossalicious folder again copper card placed behind holly die circle, then stampedsentiment and embossed with Heat it Up copper. Die cut the frond along with poinsettia dies.

Scrapbooking....

Oh my goodness I cannot believe it is nearly a month since I updated my blog,
(hangs head in shame).
Well I will explain why, since my great granddaughter was born and all the photographs that have been taken I decided it was about time I actually played with Craft Artist which I have had for over a year oops lol, so I joined the Serif Craft Artist Users Group on FB. Wow they have been a great help. Thank you ladies. For the first week I spent hours trawling the web for free digikits to add to Serif, yes there are loads, then just playing, the best thing is nothing gets thrown in the litter bin you just delete and start again, yes the delete button was used quite a few times to start with lol.
I won`t bore you with all the pages that I have made at once, there are 20 of them. I don`t want to chase you away lol. I finally finished the book yesterday.
So here are just a few of my really favourite pages.
This one is the first page.

Poinsettia

I had fun yesterday going through my massive box of stamps, and seeing ones  that I have not used for years...... yes they will be back in circulation soon lol.
One of my favourite christmas stamps is the Poinsettia which I nearly always use every year, I`m surprised it has`nt worn out yet.

The stamp is from Creative Expressions which I stamped onto red card several times and once onto green card, embossed with Debbie Moores Gold embossing powder and cut out. Next I used an Embossalicious folder with white card and matted onto red card and matted these onto an 8 x 8 white card, the sentiment was stamped and embossed in red, then cut with spellbinders Fancy Tags 2. Ribbon from stash and a couple of gold peeloffs which I don`t usually use, and a few punched pine leaves.

Thank you for popping by and hope you all have a lovely weekend
whatever you are doing

In the Pink.....

Have you ever had one of those days where you cannot make your mind up what colours to use on a card.........That was me this morning, then I thought I would go out of my comfort zone and use just shades of pink!!!!!!!. I am not a pink person at all, so this was quite hard for me as I dont have much crafty stuff in that colour lol.
The roses on the card I made myself and are my first attempt,I feel quite chuffed

6 x 6 scalloped card,
stamped backing card & main image in Versamagic Pink Petunia.
layered onto flourish card stock from Pinflair.
The rose leaves are the new Signature Dies from Joanna Sheen. Lace, ribbon and jems from stash.

Christmas Wreath..

Well here I am again with a card I made on Monday. I got the idea for this from pinterest which was a white on white... mine is`nt lol.

I won`t bore you with any waffle today... well I might after you have seen the card and some piccies too.
6 x 6 white scalloped card, green base card, papers from Dovecraft, centre embossed, Pine punched with Mcgill punch, poinsettia dies and ribbon/jems from stash.

This morning I got a message from my DIL on FB asking if I wanted some card that belonged to her Aunt Christine who sadly passed away a short while ago. Of course I said yes please, well within 15 mins or so my DIL`s mum Mary turned up with it and her boot was stacked to the hilt. Mary did not want the money she has asked me to donate to a little girl who has Leukemia.
These are only 2 piccies there is even more that I have to sort through. I cannot even start to list them all yet. Would you say £50 is good for the donation.

Even More Beautiful......

Hi everybody, it seems ages since I last blogged.... yep a whole 10 days.
Well let me tell you a story lol.
Firstly I had to make my DT samples for Jem`s designs brand new cd`s which were on Create & Craft on Wednesday ( I hope you saw it) I had the pleasure of using the Even More Beautiful cd and wow it is fabulous. The other one is titled Lililicious. They are only available from Create & Craft until 31/8/13 then you can get them from
Once I finished my samples and posted them off to Sue. I had a mad moment.

I have been wanting to decorate the craft/office room for quite a while, so last week when it was at it hottest I decided to do it, what a fool I was lol. It was a case of do a bit have a break, do a bit have a break, so instead of it just taking me a couple of days it took me a week. So of course after that was done I had to buy myself a shelving unit as I could not just let all my boxes of craft sit about willy nilly. Lets just say its tidier but I need some proper A4 containers now to make it look even neater. Please let me know where I can get them, nice and cheap of course.
Well that`s enough of me waffling on.
Here are my samples and a couple of piccies of my room now.
This card shape was hand cut from template, I hope it does not show.

This shape I found on Pinterest
Again this one was cut from template
All the images and backing papers from Jem`s Designs cd.
Flowers and ribbon from stash.
Now for my room,
The strange object to the right of the last piccie is my killer of a cross trainer.

Isabella.....

Good morning all, and a very big welcome to my new followers.
Over the weekend I had a tidy up in the craftroom before decorating ( no not started yet)and came across some old cd`s and straight away I thought I could do something with these, so now they are safely tucked away in my drawer for future use, except for one which I have had a play with, and what better than to use a photo of my gorgeous great granddaughter.
I was lucky to have some lace sent to me by the lovely Lindsay, Thank you.
So out came my lace stash to see what I could come up with. I hope you like it.
Wall hanging.

My granddaughter loves pink, I used 3 lots of lace. Pink on the outside then white and pink and white in the centre. Printed the photo then diecut with Stately Circles and backed with pink card. Flourish diecuts added, Bow with pearls, flowers from stash.
